I watched A Very Long Engagement on SBS on Sunday night. Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and starring Audrey Tautou (both from Amelie, possibly my favourite movie in the world), I cried my eyes out. Visual poetry and a script full of wonderful whimsy. I would highly recommend it (even though I spent a lot of the film hiding my face behind a pillow so I wouldn't have to watch the war scenes.)Wednesday, 25 June 2008

if you go to venice while you are in europe, there is this little shop hiding right next to a canal that is completely amelie themed. the shop is painted red and green, and is lit to look like amelie's bedroom, and the guy sells literally everything that related to the movie amelie.
i don't know why it's in italy though.
