My friends Mike and Anny have released some new music under the name of Glisk. Think Beach House x m83 with a tiny touch of something more pop, like Au Revoir Simone. (I'm terrible at comparing and reviewing music. It's really lovely.)

Their EP Servants Heart is free from here; I'm finding a hard time choosing a favourite song, but for the moment I'll say Emlin. Recognise the cover photo? It's courtesy of yours truly.

When I was in Melbourne last year I fell in love with these cycling capes by The Vallentine Project. I made a note to look up the maker when I got home, but could never find any sort of website. Last week I stumbled on this video, but still no website! In one way it's nice that they are real-life-only and are not proliferated across the internet; but on the other hand, without an online contact point I seem to have no chance of ever enjoying them in real life.

Ines' photos of Denmark are so beautiful, it breaks my heart. Her flickr is well worth a look, if you have a moment.

Things are calming down a little now post-festival season, which is nice.

At the moment life is including all the usual things: Format, Renew, Brink (my day job) and also a new(ish) position as Associate Editor at FiveThousand. Hurrah!

I haven't always been forthcoming about my identity on here, although I'd expect that most of you have some idea of 'who I am'. In any case, I've now popped my email address up in the sidebar should you wish to contact me.

My friends Lara and Laura are building a life-sized snow globe at Format on Tuesday. I completely intend going along dress like this. One night only folks. (PS the exhibition downstairs at the moment, Adam Synnott's Light Interrupted, is amazing. It's a screen in a dark room that responds to touch by creating light patterns and sounds. Incredible!)
